Berkman Plaza, 2 years later: A trail, and tale, of fatal errors

Concrete slabs were cracking. Beams were straining. Disaster was coming.

A young man would be dead soon, others hurt, and millions of dollars lost.

But a workers and managers during a Berkman Plaza 2 building a whole site in Jacksonville didnt grasp a obligatory danger inside a parking garage until the 6 stories collapsed around them prior to dawn upon Dec. 6, 2007.

Building crews had reported difficulty to their bosses for weeks.
